The Tesco Cheese Challenge is dedicated to finding great new British Cheeses and giving them the chance to be enjoyed by Tesco customers across the United Kingdom.

In the early summer of each year a panel of distinguished judges picks the best new cheese for the year. Tesco encourages entries from Small to Medium sized Cheese producers and the winning entry is chosen in July. In the months that follow the Tesco team works with the winner to bring the new cheese to market and it goes in store in the late autumn.

Past winners have seen their businesses grow dramatically and we will work hard to repeat the magic in 2007. We'd like to keep you informed about The Tesco Cheese Challenge as it develops over the coming months.

The sweet taste of success!

We are proud to announce the winners of the Tesco 2008 Cheese Challenge which were selected at the Grand Final and Celebration Lunch on 8 July at The Bluebird, London.

The judges were delighted by the range and quality of the cheeses on offer finding it extremely difficult to pick the overall winner form such a competitive field.

We thank all those people who worked so hard to make this year’s competition such a great success – we’re already planning for next year!
