Information
We have defined new cheese as that which is not currently stocked or planned to be stocked by any retailer with more than 20 outlets in the UK. We want to include existing cheeses that are not widely available, e.g. those sold currently at farmers markets, as well as develop new cheeses.
Entries go to preliminary judging where up to 3 cheeses within each category are selected to go through to the final. The judging panel is made up of independent judges from the cheese industry, the media and senior Tesco management.
The winning product will display the cheesemakers own brand and the Tesco Cheese Challenge logo to aid identification in store.
