Winning the Tesco Cheese Challenge 2006 provided a superb launch pad for our new, blue cheese, Butlers Blue. From in-store tastings, to articles and news items, the support and profiling arising from the win has been fantastic in helping to introduce the cheese to consumers, and in the process, broaden their knowledge of the variety of quality cheeses that Butlers produces.

Winning the Tesco Cheese Challenge 2005 has been great fun and set us some really exciting challenges. The warm glow of the media spotlight has boosted sales of all our cheeses.The prospect of having to double our cheese production was both daunting and exciting. Winning the Tesco Cheese Challenge 2004 has been absolutely fantastic for us - it has transformed our business overnight. We knew that things were going to go well when news of our success at the Tesco Cheese Challenge Awards in July 2004 was published in the local and national press.
The phone rang for days with wholesalers and specialist retailers asking for samples and the vast majority of them placed orders. By the time the product went into Tesco stores in November our business had already doubled in size - and this was before we had sold a single kilo of cheese to Tesco!
The team at Tesco were great to deal with. They understood our business and they helped us along the way.
