The Tesco Cheese Challenge gives smaller British Cheesemakers the opportunity to develop a new cheese for the market, or to expand the distribution of a cheese not currently widely available.
The Challenge has been developed to encourage real innovation in an exciting and thriving industry, whilst intriguing and exciting customers and the industry alike. British Cheese Board research shows that consumers are becoming more adventurous when choosing cheeses and those consumers are interested in learning more about this versatile natural food source.
Tesco are the market leader in the cheese market in the UK and our customers are becoming increasingly sophisticated and demanding more choice. The Cheese Challenge provides a route to a listing within Tesco stores for suppliers, and meets the needs of customers for new and exciting products. As well as this, the winning entries will receive commercial guidance and support from Tesco in order to give the product every chance of a successful launch.
